Author Russel and illustrator Connor created a marvellous world of adventure in The Last Storyteller.
Its cover is astonishing due to the lively colors used and the way it transports our minds to what would be an astoundingly well-developed and planned plot once we open it. The element of suspense was present from start to finish and I could not predict anything about the story until I finished it.

The story’s unpredictability keeps us hooked, and unexpected twists and turns add an element of surprise and keep the adventure fresh and engaging.

I love the way the characters add a lot of meaning to the story. Their personalities are catchy and they are able to entertain any type of children who read these pages or which pages are read to them. Recommended!

I loved the inspiration behind this story. It was inspired by a biblical proverb. I also love that it was written with purpose—to help with emergency famine relief. Catherine Ann Russell is a also good writer. She kept my attention from beginning to end. The story reminded me a little bit of the Chronicles of Narnia. I also liked that there is an image every now and then to help give the imagination a boost and that there is a map at the beginning of the book.
